Georgia Woods

In 2001 Georgia Woods first trained as a Veterinary Nurse in a mixed practice in Shropshire. She was able to gain a broad introduction to Veterinary Nursing before moving to the Willow’s Veterinary Group, working in the main hospital and referral centre, in Northwich. It was here that she first started running nurse clinics in obesity. After qualification in 2004 and with the emergency and critical care experience gained, she moved to the busy 24 hour emergency service at Woodcroft Veterinary Group, Cheshire as a dedicated emergency and critical care nurse. In 2010 Georgia then took the position of head nurse at one of the group’s newly opened branch practices where she developed successful obesity and other nursing clinics. Whilst here Georgia successfully competed the ROYAL CANIN® Pet Health Councillor course. In June 2015 Georgia took the position of ROYAL CANIN® Weight Management Clinic Nurse at the University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital where she is now dealing exclusively with obese pets.
