Georgia Woods first trained as a Veterinary Nurse in 2001 in a mixed practice in Shropshire, gaining a broad introduction to veterinary nursing before moving to the Willow’s Veterinary Group in Northwich, where she first started running nurse clinics in obesity.
After qualifying in 2004, she gained emergency and critical care experience at the busy 24-hour emergency service at Woodcroft Veterinary Group, Cheshire. In 2010 she took the position of head nurse at one of the group’s newly opened branch practices, where she developed successful obesity and other nursing clinics, and completed the ROYAL CANIN® Pet Health Councillor course.
Since June 2015 Georgia has been the ROYAL CANIN® Weight Management Clinic Nurse at the University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital, where she works exclusively with obese pets and their owners on structured, supervised weight management programmes.
